QUESTION:

The American National Standard ICC/ANSI A117.1-1998 specifies a 36 inches by 36 inches transfer shower stall for Type A dwelling units. For Type B dwelling units, however, it specifies 36 inches by 36 inches as minimum dimensions. This appears to differ from the state code requirement which gives only a specific size for transfer shower stalls in Section 1106.11.10. Does the 36 inches by 36 inches transfer shower stall requirement of Section 1106.11.10 apply to Type B dwelling units?
