| QUESTION: | 1. Based on Table 29-A, my calculation of minimum restroom fixture
requirements for a 1250 seat multiplex theater results in four water closets
for males and twenty-one water closets for females. Is this calculation
correct?
2. If the answer to question number one is “yes”, are there other ways to determine minimum fixture requirements? |
| ANSWER: | 1. Yes, only if the facility has "limited time for fixture use
(intermissions)". If there are no "intermissions", then refer to
Sections 2902.1.1 or 104.2.8, where the building official should decide,
based upon sufficient supportive information provided by the designer for
the most appropriate number of fixtures.
