SECTION:  Section 51-20-3106 (c) 2
QUESTION:  Is door hardware allowed to extend outside the mounting height requirements of this section?  For example, if a vertical pull is used for the accessible hardware, can a portion of that pull extend beyond either the 36 inch minimum height requirement or the 48 inch maximum height requirement?
ANSWER:  Yes.  If a usable portion of the accessible hardware is located between the vertical dimensions of 36 inches (915 mm) minimum and 48 inches (1220 mm) maximum, then an additional portion may extend outside those boundaries.
