The state amendments to IRC section R403.1.6.1, Item 3 reads as follows: 3. Plate washers complying with
Section R602.11.1 shall be provided for all anchor bolts over the full length
of required braced wall lines. Properly sized cut washers shall be permitted
for anchor bolts in wall lines not containing braced wall panels or in braced
wall lines. Are cut washers allowed to be used for anchor bolts in braced wall lines? |

No. The second sentence in
this item is intended to permit cut washers in wall lines other than wall
lines with a braced wall panel, including braced wall lines. |
